- Lifeguard Aquaman may be a reference to Smallville, in which Arthur Curry suggests that they should form a "Junior Lifeguard Association", which is itself a reference to the Justice League of America.
- Aquaman was originally a hybrid damage champion (for example, Rising Tide's damage used to scale with Power Damage and its heal scaled with Attack Damage; both Trident of the King and Stagger dealt Power Damage).
- He is voiced by Josh Keaton.
